1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you browse a website. They let the site work efficiently, keep security tokens intact, remember your preferences and provide us with aggregate analytics. This policy also covers similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels and your browser's local storage.
2. Statutory Compliance (DPDPA 2023 & GDPR)
techcadd processes personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies. Under Section 6 of the DPDPA, consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, given by a clear affirmative action.
Non-essential cookies are therefore never set until you opt in. Every choice you make — accepting, rejecting or saving custom preferences — generates a unique audit-trail token and timestamp, stored with your preferences, so that the consent can be evidenced.
3. Dual Storage Mechanism & Retention Limits
Your consent preferences are stored in two synchronised places:
- Browser cookie:
techcadd_cookie_consent, with a maximum retention of 365 days,SameSite=Laxand theSecureflag over HTTPS. - Local storage mirror: the same preferences in your browser's local storage, so a routine cache clean does not silently reset your choice.
Consent expires automatically after 365 days, after which you will be asked again. We will also ask again if we add a new category or change what an existing one is used for.

5. Managing & Revoking Consent at Any Time
You stay in control of your data. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — as easily as you gave it — using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page, or the button below. Withdrawing consent removes the cookies that category had already set.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all provide this under their Privacy or Security settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as enquiry forms, from working.
6. Third-Party Services & Embedded Content
Where we embed media such as videos, we use privacy-enhanced modes (for example youtube-nocookie.com) that do not set tracking cookies until you start playback. Links to partner websites are governed by those websites' own privacy and cookie policies.
