Skills you build in 3 months
A 3-month programme teaches one skill practically and finishes inside a term. It is the quickest route from school to something you can be hired for, and it leaves room to carry on with college or a longer course afterwards.
Sketching & constraints
Fully defined sketches, and why they matter downstream.
- Sketch entities
- Relations
- Dimensions
- Design intent
Part modelling
Features that build a part someone else can edit.
- Extrude & revolve
- Sweep & loft
- Patterns
- Fillets
Assemblies
Mates, motion and interference checks.
- Mates
- Sub-assemblies
- Interference
- Exploded views
Drawings & sheet metal
Releasing the design, plus the sheet metal toolset.
- Drawing views
- BOM
- Sheet metal
- Flat patterns
Outcomes
What you will be able to do
By the end of the programme you should be able to do each of these without help.
- Build fully defined, editable sketches
- Model parts with clear design intent
- Assemble components and check interference
- Produce drawings with a bill of materials
- Work with sheet metal and flat patterns
Tools
Software you will actually work with
Every session is on a computer in the lab, on the software used in offices and studios.
- SolidWorks
- SolidWorks Drawings
- Sheet Metal
- Assembly Mates
- eDrawings
How it runs
How your 3 months are spent
Concepts first, then practice on the same day. Each stage ends in work that is checked.
- 01Month 1
Start from the basics
No prior experience is assumed. You learn the software and the fundamentals through daily practice in the lab.
- 02Month 2
Build the core skill
The main tools and methods, each applied to a task that is checked and corrected.
- 03Month 3
Project and certificate
A project of your own from brief to finished work, a review, and your certificate.
- 04
Decide what is next
Start applying, or continue into the 6-month certificate with the first three months already behind you.
Projects
Hands-on projects you will build
Projects are what you show in an interview. These are drawn from the tracks in this programme.
- Intermediate
Sheet metal enclosure
An enclosure modelled, flattened and drawn for fabrication.
- Sheet metal
- Flat pattern
- Drawings
- Advanced
Multi-part assembly
An assembly with mates, motion study and a BOM.
- Mates
- Interference
- BOM

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Still unsure? A ten-minute call with a counsellor usually settles it faster than a page can.
Who can join the SolidWorks Program?
Anyone who has passed Class 12, in any stream. No prior experience is assumed — the programme starts at the fundamentals. College students, graduates and working people join the same batches.
How long is the SolidWorks Program?
It runs for three months, with weekday and weekend batches at the techcadd centre in Model Town, Hoshiarpur.
What will I learn?
The programme is built from SOLIDWORKS. Each has its own syllabus and projects, which you can read on its course page.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. You receive a certificate when you complete the programme and its project work.
Can I do this alongside college?
Yes. Batches run in the morning and the evening and at weekends, so the programme can sit alongside regular college classes or a job.
Is there placement support?
You get guidance on applying for jobs and on which course to take next. The fuller placement support — resume, mock interviews and introductions to employers — comes with the 6-month and 9-month programmes.
How do I find out the fee?
Fees depend on the batch and the tracks you take. Call or message the admissions desk, or book a free counselling session, and you will get the current fee and instalment options.
